Precious Time!

Well, tonight Daniel and I are spending the night, alone, in a hotel to celebrate our Anniversary. Yay! Daniel's folks will have Isaac & Joanna, and some wonderful friends will keep Hannah & Abigail. The girls are SO excited! (We are too!) It's not often that we get some time for just the two of us, and rarely is it overnight.

So, a huge THANK YOU to Mom & Dad and Mel !!

(I even shaved my legs, so you know it's special! ;)

8 Years!

Today is our 8 year Anniversary! It seems as though time has just flown by and yet so much has happened. Four children were born, friends and family have gotten married and had children of their own, we've bought a house, gone through various church experiences, had our ups and downs. (mostly ups!) We've "grown up", though I hope not too much, and I have been so happy to experience all of this with Daniel by my side! I wouldn't want anyone else!!

He can make any situation better for me, just by being there. I am amazed at how he thinks of me all the time. He is so selfless towards me, loving, caring, gentle, and thoughtful, just to name a few. He is such a reminder to me how God wants the best for us, and He clearly gave me that in Daniel. I couldn't have asked for a better man to be my teammate in life!

So, Happy Anniversary Babe!! I look forward to so many more years together. You are truly my best friend and I can't even begin to express how much I love you and am SO thankful to have you as my husband.

Christmas #3

Here is my final Christmas Post.

Isaac wearing his new Soldier outfit over his pjs. Can you see his footie jammies peaking out?

Rebecca and Abigail wearing her new shawl with her jammies.

Joanna sitting on Aunt Emily's lap waiting for her turn to open her present.

Rebecca received this cool jewelry box from Em and Jason that was like a puzzle to open. Here she is in the process of figuring it out. She got it pretty quick!

Rebecca with the jewelry box opened and her new pashmina shawl. Beautiful!

Jason got these huge, super soft blankets in Iraq. One with deer on it for Mom and Dad and this one for us. (Isaac almost looks like part of the picture on the blanket here.)

Dad and Isaac cuddling. Do you think he liked his new soldier outfit?

Our little "Soldier Boy."

While we were there we made some more pierogis to eat for one of our meals together. Yum!

Abigail helping Aunt Emily make the filling.

Isaac helping Auntie Becca with the dough.

The kids always love helping Grandpa with the chores around the farm. Especially feeding & watering the cows and horses and getting wood for the fire.

Here is Isaac bringing in some wood for the stove.

Here's Abby helping, too.

Hannah did some coloring while we were there.

She also enjoyed some hot chocolate.

Really enjoyed it!!

Here's a couple pictures of all the kids and dogs having fun playing together outside. Oh, and Aunt Emily, too!

We don't really have any New Year's Eve pictures, but you can just imagine us playing Canasta, cleaning up throw up, and bathing kids all night long! We ended up getting a bad batch of chicken wings and Hannah and Abby got sick from them. So, we had sick kids in the midst of our Canasta tournament. :(

Back to current events again soon.

Still here....

Nothing too exciting happening. We've had some sickness making it's way through our family. I am ready for Spring!! I'm hoping to finish my Christmas/New Year's posts tomorrow or so.

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! A day to remember how much you love those around you and to show it to them. So go, give some hugs and kisses to your loved ones. :)

02-08-02

Today a sweet little girl turns 6 years old. Happy Birthday Abigail!!

More to come later....

Abigail picked Burger King with a play place to go to for supper last night. We invited some friends and Daniel's parents joined us, all very last minute, but we had a great time! Abigail and I made a cake and we stopped at Walmart on the way there to buy frosting. So, I frosted the cake in the car and we had a "fly by the seat of your pants" party. All the kids had a fun time playing together and who doesn't love cake?!

Our Abigail is really a sweet, sensitive, little girl. We've noticed over the past year how much she has grown up and is turning into a wonderful young lady. She is taking on more responsibility, all on her own, and being a great helper. She notices when the trash bags need changed out, and she'll just do it. She can change the sheet on her bed all by herself. She will get juice cups for her little brother and sister. She is so very loving towards her family! What a blessing she is to us and we look forward to seeing what a wonderful woman she will become.

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!!
